Transcore is excited to announce its pivotal role in the approved $311 million expansion of St John of God Hospital in Subiaco, Western Australia.

Approved by the Western Australian Planning Commission, this substantial project includes a new emergency department, clinical buildings, and a significant increase in on-site parking. The development promises to elevate the hospital’s reputation for clinical excellence and improve community connectivity.

Transcore‘s expertise was integral to this expansion. Commissioned by St John of God Health Care Inc., Transcore worked closely with the project team including Silver Thomas Hanley and utilised microsimulation transport modelling to evaluate the traffic impact of the proposed development on the surrounding road network. Extensive data collection was undertaken, including traffic counts, parking supply analysis, and the examination of bus routes and stops.

Furthermore, Transcore played a crucial role in the proposed expansion of the hospital’s car park resulting in an integrated multi-deck car park. Our team provided top-tier traffic engineering services, helping to develop the parking expansion design concerning access, egress, circulation, and ramp design. All of this was achieved while ensuring conformance with Australian Standards.

Through the course of the project, Transcore liaised with stakeholders including local and state agencies.

This expansion of St John of God Hospital is set to have a lasting impact on the local community and Western Australia’s economy. Transcore is proud to be a part of such a significant project, significant community services and benefits, and contributing to job creation during and post-construction phases.

As we celebrate this approval, we look forward to supporting future projects that enhance our communities and drive economic growth.
