When Bunnings outgrew their existing store in Clarkson and planned to build a larger store nearby they appointed Transcore to assist with the finalisation of the development plan with respect to access, circulation system, parking layout and service vehicle access. Transcore also prepared the transport assessment report required for planning approval, as they have done for several other new Bunnings stores in WA.

The new Bunnings Mindarie store on Neerabup Road, Clarkson, offers almost 18,000m2 of warehouse, plant nursery and timber trade areas, with 478 parking spaces. Two-thirds of this parking is located directly beneath the store in a large undercover parking area. One of the most important challenges for this development was negotiation of driveway access from Neerabup Road, which is an Other Regional Road (a ‘Blue Road’) in the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
