Belmont Racecourse Digital Billboard

Transcore has been assisting the industry with static and digital signage applications over the last 15 years. As part the most recent success storey, Transcore is proud to have supported Belmont Racecourse through the approval process for the super screen digital sign project during 2025 and 2026. The approved and now installed sign features a 140m² digital display alongside a 60m² static advertising panel.

The new sign forms part of the transformation and redevelopment of Belmont Racecourse, supporting its evolution into one of Australia’s premier racing venues. Prior to this project, Belmont Racecourse was the only major metropolitan racecourse in Australia without a large-format digital display. The successful approval and construction of the sign now bring Perth Racing in line with the leading racecourses across the country.

The project presented a number of technical and regulatory challenges, requiring innovative design solutions to achieve compliance with Main Roads WA‘s Policy “Assessment Guidelines for Digital Advertising Signs” and “Policy and Assessment Guidelines for Static Advertising Signs”. Transcore worked closely with Main Roads WA, SignOn, and Perth Racing throughout the approval process to identify the optimal location and screening arrangements for the sign to satisfy Main Roads policies.

Transcore is delighted to have contributed to the successful approval of this significant project. The completed installation represents an important milestone in the modernisation of Belmont Racecourse and demonstrates the value of collaborative, technically robust solutions to complex road safety challenges.
